Level 8 students Lilly Maskery and Jett Ramsay performed Stephen Baynes specially created pas de deux, The Suitor, most beautifully at the Youth America Grand Prix International Dance School Festival in New York. They were exemplary ambassadors and were highly commended on their training, lines, artistry and classicism. Congratulations Lilly and Jett.

Level 8 students Karina Arimura and Mao Fujita have returned from Sydney following a three-week secondment with The Australian Ballet dancing in Maina Gielgud’s production of Giselle. What a wonderful experience for them both to perform in this beautiful production.

Our senior students performed magnificently in our recent Morning Melodies performances at Hamer Hall Arts Centre Melbourne; dancing Margaret Wilson’s Heart Strings, Stephen Baynes’ Ballo Barocco, Areti Boyaci’s new Spanish work Farucca and from the classical repertoire Raymonda Grand Pas. We have had the most wonderful experience collaborating with students from e.motion21, culminating in the creation of a unique dance work ‘we are one’ which was performed at the Regent Plaza Ballroom, in support of the e.motion21 fundraising gala. To see the students working so closely and making new friendships during the creation process has been a truly joyous pleasure for us all.
