The Australian Ballet School and Canada's National Ballet School have had a longstanding symbiotic relationship, which continued when Level 8 students Macy Trethewey, Isabella Smith, Milana Gould, and Kit Thompson participated in an invaluable 3-week exchange opportunity in Toronto in January.
During the exchange, students had the opportunity to learn from world-class instructors, experience new approaches to dance training, and immerse themselves in Canadian culture, allowing them to step out of their comfort zone and grow as dancers and individuals.
"I learned that you have to be able to adapt quite quickly in these situations. Suddenly it's Monday and you're thrown into their schedule! We arrived on Saturday night, I had to be quick to get in the headspace of everything and be able to transition.", Milana Gould, Level 7 Student.
We are thrilled to continue this exchange program with Canada's National Ballet School in 2023 and look forward to welcoming Canadian students to our studios later this year.
